Sand Operations Round-the-Clock Violate Environmental Guidelines, says Krishank of BJP

Hyderabad: BRS spokesperson Krishank Manne on Thursday exposed official order of Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation, which asked its officials to work in three shifts from 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 7am, which violates the Government of India Environmental guidelines which clearly states that Sand Mining Operations should operate from 6am to 7pm then how can TGMDC officially order staff to work for 24 hours sand operations?
Official Order of Corporation also reveals that overloading and malpractices of zero loading operating vehicles are persistent. Government revenue has collapsed. During KCR’s tenure Government’s revenue out of Sand Mining was Rs 800 crore annually but now there is massive reduction.
When Navjot Singh Siddhu, Congress leader as Minister visited Telangana to study the Model and announced Telangana’s Mining Policy as the best and Punjab would adopt it. Congress Government in Telangana has changed five Managing Directors in one single year for the Corporation which explains how chaotic and disordered the situation is. As officials have not cooperated, Congress leaders resort to corrupt practices.
He said BRS demands Congress to withdraw the policy which violates environmental norms and initiate a Assembly inquiry with BRS MLAs, Speaker present all transactions, including DD Bookings, Bulk Orders for the year 2024-2025 which will expose corruption, he added.
